The films story plot is .... A girl with few real prospects joins a gang, reinventing herself and gaining a sense of self confidence in the process. However, she soon finds that this new life does not necessarily make her any happier.

The films story plot is......  A troubled teenager is plagued by visions of a large bunny rabbit that manipulates him to commit a series of crimes, after narrowly escaping a bizarre accident.


The production company of Donnie Darko is Pandora Cinema, flower films, Adam fields production

It was first released in the USA in 25th October 2002.
Donnie Darko movie box office was $4,500,000.
The BFFC for Donnie Darko is  15, contains strong language and psychological horror.

The films story plot is ...When a couples relationship turns sour, a couple undergoes a procedure to have each other erased from their memories. But it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with.

It was first released in the USA in 30th April 2004
 Eternal sunshine of spotless mind box office was $20,000,000

Introduction:
Films are created to share an experience utilizing many different ways. films are ideal produced for people amusement and enjoyment. Some movies are created following a story book.Also, films create emotions and tend to inspire people, express what people want to say.

Lord Puttnam on the role of distribution:
Puttnam's role of distribution is about trying to make the largest amount of people to view it. Therefore, they try make the trailers an posters intriguing.

So what exactly do distributors do? 
Distrubutors is highly competitive business of launching different types of films. However its really hard so the distributors challenge is to:

  • identifying its audience
  • considering why they'd go and see it
  • estimating the revenue potential across all the formats of its release
  • persuading exhibitors (cinema operators) to play the film
  • developing plans and partnerships to build awareness of and interest in the film
  • aiming to convert as much interest as possible into cinema visits

Who are the distributors?
The UK has six major distributors and also many independent distributors. And they manage anything that is created outside the major studios.

How do distributors get their films? 
UK distributors get their films using many different techniques for example;

  • a third-party sales agent, acting on behalf of a producer
  • a continuous flow of new content from a parent studio
  • a studio or production company with whom the distributor has negotiated an output deal covering a slate of titles
  • a single title acquired at any stage before, during or after production

Make a distribution deal
This is about specifying the rights they hold in respect of the title. These normally include the right to release it in UK cinemas and promote it in all media before and during its release.

This is about trying to see how much the audience enjoyed the film and trying to reach the planned target audience.

3) Both initiatives offer far more than production funding. The schemes also deliver a comprehensive programmer of training and expert mentoring.It is open to all new and emerging film makers and runs across nine months.

All of these three movies fit perfectly to the art-house profiles because they mainly about an individual or group and through the films try to express the emotions created. These tend to be emotions which arent discovered or fully understood by the audience.Also, they all have that protagonist where the audience synthesize with. 

5)  Three things that i learnt from these art-house short clips is that 
  •  Use what is around me to make the film interesting
  • Clearly communicate what you are trying to say
